As we all know, date nights start to become a rare occurrence when you have kids.  When your husband is playing baseball with few nights off, it becomes even more rare.

We had the luck that Elliot had an off day to spend with us after our Charlotte trip, so we set up a sitter and decided to go out to eat without any of the littles.

I hadn't gotten to wear heels in a while, so I decided I was wearing a dress for the occasion.  I popped on my new Tinley Road navy dress that I got from Piperlime and some Rachel Roy Gardner pumps.

I love Navy.  I think it's flattering like Black, but not as harsh against my skin.

I topped it off with some basic earrings and this Stella & Dot necklace I got a few months ago.  I felt that the red worked really well with the navy dress.

We then rushed out of the house to beat the rain and enjoyed a great dinner at the Melting Pot in Durham.

If you haven't tried Melting Pot, I suggest you do.  It's a chain restaurant that is in a lot of big cities.  Elliot asked me to try it time and time again, and I always responded that I didn't want to eat bread dipped in cheese for my dinner.  We got out once last fall and finally decided to try it, and we loved it.  We've been back several times since.

I was pretty wrong about their offerings.  While they do offer cheese fondue, it's the appetizer.  They bring you bread, veggies and apples to dip in it, and it's amazing.  They follow that up with salads, and then your entree which you cook in a broth of your choosing.  I love the ravioli.  You finish it all off by picking a chocolate fondue which they pair with fruit, marshmallows, rice krispie treats, brownies and cheesecake.  So yummy.

We had a great date night, and I'm sure we'll be back again soon.  Where do you tend to go on your date nights?  Do you often stick with the same place or try something new every time?
